OUR STORY

After seven years of baking homemade treats for Maeby, we are sharing our story and our favorite dessert recipes with you! 

In 2013, I adopted an incredibly sweet puppy who I named Maeby. Our first walk was a funny encounter of us trying to observe each other, but there was an instant connection. Since that day, we’ve had so many great adventures.

Because I am “that” dog lady, I used my love for baking to spoil Maeby on her birthdays and gotcha days. It’s been a 7 year tradition of baking some seriously special treats that she and I have both enjoyed. And last year, I realized I had enough recipes to write a book, so here we are!

You’ll hopefully notice from our photos and the bakes themselves that spending time in the kitchen with your pup is really all about having fun with your furry friend. Maeby spoils me every day with her love and affection, so it’s nice every now and again to demonstrate how much she means to me by whipping up some fresh treats just for her.

ABOUT MAEBY

Our resident treat tester, Maeby is a mini schnauzer mix that hails from the streets of Houston, TX. Adopted in 2013, Maeby has inspired people all over the world to be kind and love dogs. She enjoys the beach, agility class, "coming with", and testing all homemade dog treats, especially those including cheese.

A clarinetist, producer, consultant and now author/co-creator of Maeby & Me, Jen usually spends much of her time with Maeby working with Sesame Workshop as the production manager of Sesame Street.  Based in New York City, Jen also loves baking, spending time with Maeby, and traveling.
